Effortless cast, the perfect drift, bobber down. It’s what a centerpin float reel should offer and what the Islander Steelheader delivers—again and again and again. By machining to exacting tolerances, the IS centerpin reel is incredibly smooth and has virtually no start up inertia.

The bearing world is a lot like the automotive world. Float reel bearings are no different. ABEC rating is important but the reason Islanders spin effortlessly is that we select only the finest quality bearings across all relevant categories like shield design, ball grade, lubrication, and material selection.

Interchangeable Retrieve

Right or left handed… It doesn’t matter. As a non-directional float reel, just spool it up the right way and you’re off to the river.

The laser engraving process permanently etches the anodized finish without fully penetrating the coating to ensure the finish’s anti-corrosive properties are maintained. The process produces a white finish—we cannot engrave in colour.
